Building on the basic camera instruction provided in Introductory Photography course, this class focuses on the substantial advantages of the RAW workflow. The digital photographic process will be demystified, including interpolation, white balance, digital color, and file formats. Simple photographic lighting techniques will be demonstrated using natural and artificial sources and electronic flash. The course concludes with a challenging practical assignment: using a single light source and simple light modifiers, each student will create a complex, powerfully lit conceptual studio photograph in the classroom.
